Named after a dog Tyler's boyfriend had when he was a child, Dexter is... essentially just a big, lovable Rottweiler pup, in Tyler's eyes. Albeit, one who can spit fire. That raises the danger level a bit. He's the excitable, reckless kind of dog where Tyler doesn't think he'll really grow out of it, but he's taken to hand-sign commands remarkably well, and he's enjoying being trained and roughhousing with other Pokemon. Gets remarkably sulky when he loses a fight.
Evolved 9 April. Rather mundanely, Dexter evolved during a routine training session Tyler hosts for his Pokemon. He's gotten quite smart, and is able to work well with minimal commands from Tyler at this point. But he's still a dumb baby and loves positive reinforcement.

Found during Tyler's first swarm in Goldenrod. The bird made a point out of trying to attack Tyler when he accidentally ignored it, and was quickly taken out by Isis; Tyler only noticed when Dexter brought him the unconscious bird, and he caught it on a whim. Quixote has a tendency to take on opponents much, much bigger than she is without shying away, but frequently bites off more than she can chew, to the point of apparently wilful ignorance. Uses her leek in a lance-like manner.
Evolved 10 April. Her ego has gotten even bigger. Her intelligence has not. Is now competent and strong enough to ride Dexter into battle like a mount.

Originally intended to be handed over to Team Rocket, Tyler found a Hawlucha that Steven had been desperate and unsuccessful in finding himself, and the two traded. Tyler doesn't dislike the strange bug Pokemon, but he's never really encountered it before, and doesn't quite know what to make of it. For its part, the Pineco is very sedate and doesn't particularly care about its switch in trainers. It seems to take quite a bit to actually rile this Pokemon up - but when he's angry, beware, because he'll quite readily attack.
Evolved 8 April. Tyler was not expecting it to turn into a Forretress, being unfamiliar with the Pineco line. Nonetheless, his armour is even more formidable, and does well holding out against even Football's attacks.

After getting left behind post-curry cook-out, Tyler trekked back to Olivine City, then back towards Moomoo Farms; however, on realising that this would be an extremely long journey, he swung back by Moomoo Farms to pick a Pokemon for a mount. It took some convincing, but eventually he left with a Mudbray, which he felt back about riding until one of the farmers demonstrated it cheerfully dragging along a round hay bale with no concern. The baby donkey-like Pokemon is endlessly cheerful, and seems eager to prove to Tyler that she's just as strong as all the other Mudbray, despite her runty stature.
Evolved May 5. Evolved during standard training en route to Cianwood. Is now intimidatingly large, albeit still quite small for a Mudsdale. Has to bend down to let Tyler climb on and off her back now.

During the 2020 Prom, Tyler went for a brief exploration in the haunted halls of the tower it was being hosted in, and found a slight piece of Old Amber. Remembering the item from the first Pokemon games, he smuggled it into his suitcase so he could leave with it, and got it restored at the Goldenrod Pokemon Center. Tyler didn't know that Aerodactyl were big; he especially didn't know that the one he happened to receive from the amber was really big, pushing nearly seven feet across the wings.
He's also somewhat aggressive; not moreso than usual for an Aerodactyl, but enough that he actively tried to escape the reanimation area and attack people nearby; luckily Tyler was nearby to witness it, and was able to use Isis to calm Ox; not a difficult feat, given his low level.
