I think Dark types are just inherently petty. Part and parcel of the typing. But then, I only have the one, so I'm not an expert.

I'd offer to help lift them, but Isis's psychic stuff doesn't touch them at all.

She might at least be able to help with Flaris, since growlithe are just a down-the-line fire type. But she at least... seems okay with my being near them. Not so much touching them, but it's better than Nex is giving me.

He has access to the Ekruteak warp, at least, so while it takes him a bit to touch up some of the final budget stuff for Steven, he makes it to Lydia's very shortly after he finishes about two hours later.

And he's very polite about it, knocking quietly on her door. He's only got Isis out at the moment; he doesn't trust Dexter not to get into more shit if he lets the Houndoom out.

[At least she's managed to stake out a rather small... oh, okay, that's actually a small house somehow. Don't ask how the hell she got the money or connections for that, not too far outside of the city itself. Quiet, simple, no one asks any damn questions...

Even if she's answering the door in what's essentially something far too dressy for what she'd supposedly been up to.]

Quicker than I thought. But come in. [She's moving to the side to usher him in and she obviously hasn't gotten around to doing much on the decorating side, either. Just a simple couch and chairs in the living area there.]

He signs somewhat lazily, with Isid translating directly into Lydia's mind.]

[He allows himself to be ushered in and along, and opens the door to the spare room himself to gaze upon these asshole parents. Isis looks down at them both with disapproval.]

[If there's one thing she's good at, it's pulling off almost anything and everything if she puts her mind to it. Something about elven grace or whatever.]

That so? About the same on this level, though more... I suppose trying to find people to staff shit as I can't do it alone. [Unfortunately she has to sleep now, which is rude when she's so used to being able to get everything done.

As for the spare room. Nex is immediately staring back at Isis, eyes narrowed and tail tip twitching. Very much curled around those eggs with no intentions on letting anyone near.

Flaris? Flaris is sitting up and just. Barking. Once.

[Isis doesn't spare Nex more than a single glance. She teleports off of Tyler's shoulder, making him start slightly, and lands directly on Flaris's muzzle so she can glare into the dog's eyes.

Then they both glow purple, and Flaris gets raised with (to Tyler) a surprising amount of care, easily high enough for the others to move in and grab the eggs. If Nex lets them pass.]

[That's. Actually hilarious in a weird way. Because Flaris doesn't seem to actually be terribly upset by this predicament other than making a confused as hell noise. She's not the violent one, after all.

But it does give her some time to go grab Flaris' at least. Nex, on the other hand, doesn't give a damn what happens to Flaris or her clutch. As long as her's are left alone.

Which might be why there's a low rumbling growling noise if any of them get too close to her.]

[Tyler makes sure to move in and give Flaris a good pat, involving some scratches behind the Arcanine's ears as he gets Isis to lower her back down again.

Nex... gets a flat look, but Tyler's definitely thinking about something, as he pulls his 'gear out to get the Liepard's details.]

You know that Machamp I got a while ago, Football? He's got a type advantage against Nex. And they're about the same level.

[Oh, she does enjoy ear scratches and just wags her tail once she's sat down again. This dumb-ass dog is as dumb as a box of rocks, evidently. But it's fine.]

... You know, at this point that might be our best bet since I don't have anything that really has an advantage against her and I'd rather her not try and take my face off in the middle of the night. [That's her money maker, goddammit. Even if Nex is still glaring at all of them.]
